A day at the Palmas del Mar Beach Club
Nothing like spending a day at the Palmas del Mar Beach Club were you will run into friends and in many cases, get to meet your next door neighbors. It happened to me once! There are sunny areas for those of us who love to sit in the sun and shady areas for those who don’t. And, you don’t have to carry towels, chairs, food and drinks as when you go to the beach. You sit in your chaise lounge chair and the waitress brings you food and drinks. The kids’ pool is just wonderful, the bucket, the “chorritos”, and the slides are a ball. Special note: don’t miss the sunset at the new deck overlooking Vieques Island. Want a quick dip in the ocean? Just step out and come back for a refreshing shower and exercise in the lap pool! You have family visiting you with kids? Take them to the Beach Club and they will love you forever. I remember when my nephew came to visit from New Jersey years ago when he was still a toddler; he stood still, looked around with open eyes at the Beach Club…

Palmas del Mar tennis facilities, the largest in the Caribbean!
Palmas del Mar tennis facilities are the largest in the Caribbean! Twenty courts, those of which 14 are hard courts, 4 are har-tru and 2 omni courts plus nine of them are lighted for playing at night. there is also have a Pro-shop were we can buy tennis accessories and clothes (very handy for birthday gifts – a good hat or a nice t-shirt). The Pro- shop also offers ball machine rentals and racket stringing service. the tennis club hosts tournaments of all levels including open categories and this season for the first time we will be having a Members League as part of the many benefits of becoming a Pac member. At Palmas del Mar tennis facilities area you also find a children’s playground (including the surrounding trees kids love so much). on the other hand, the center court bar and Grill, is a relax and tropical oasis with sunday specials, happy hours and many activities for the whole family. Board Walk on Pterocarpus Forest
A boardwalk at the Pterocarpus forest at Palmas del Mar, Puerto Rico opens recently. A major step in the Palmas del Mar Forest project was taken when the first 500 feet of the Forest boardwalk were inaugurated. Over 1,000 people attended the inaugural family-day event which underscored the commitment of this community toward the restoration and preservation of one of the most precious jewels with which Mother Nature blessed the island of Puerto Rico. Visitors had the opportunity to experience first-hand what this project is all about and to get a clear vision about what this major amenity will look like in a not too distant future. The Forest is now open to visitors.
